12 Congress MLA Suspended from Odisha Assembly for 7 Days

Bhubaneswar:25/3/25: Twelve MLAs of opposition Congress have been suspended from the Odisha Legislative Assembly for seven days.

Speaker Surama Padhy suspended the legislators due to alleged misconduct and unruly behavior in the House.

The suspended MLAs include Congress Legislative Party leader Rama Chandra Kadam, C.S. Rajan Ekka, Sophia Firdous, Sagar Charana Das, Mangu Khila, Satyajit Gomango, Ashok Kumar Das, Dasrathi Gomango, Nilamadhab Hikaka, Kadraka. Appala Swamy, Pabitra Saunta, and Prafulla Chandra Pradhan.

Earlier today, the Congress members continued their protest over the rising crimes against women in the State. They reiterated their demand for a House Committee to probe in this regard.
