Odisha Minister Krushna Chandra discuss various issues related to food security with UN Representative of World Food Programme

Bhubaneswar: 6/3/25: Odisha Minister for Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Krushna Chandra Patra met with Elisabeth Faure, Representative and Country Director of the United Nations’ World Food Programme, to discuss various issues related to food security in the state.

The meeting focused on strengthening the nutrition and food security system in the state.

Minister Patra informed Faure about the pioneering steps taken by the state government to improve food availability for beneficiaries under food security.

Discussions also centered on providing nutritious grains through Jana Poshan Kendras, strengthening government fair price shops, and maximizing food grain distribution through the opening of grain ATMs for the beneficiaries’ convenience.
