Stakeholder Consultation Meeting on Promotion of Agri-Exports from Odisha

Bhubaneswar:20/2/25:A stakeholder consultation meeting on promoting Agri-exports from Odisha was held at Krushi Bhavan under the chairmanship of Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Principal Secretary to the Government, Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment (DA&FE).

The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss strategies for boosting agricultural exports from Odisha by creating a conducive ecosystem for stakeholders, addressing challenges faced by exporters, and identifying key products with high export potential. The department aims to facilitate better infrastructure & institutional set-up, streamline export processes, and provide necessary policy support to encourage more participation in the agri-export sector, said Dr Padhee.

By strengthening the export framework, Odisha seeks to enhance its presence in global markets and ensure better income opportunities for farmers and farmer-producer organizations by linking them to international trade.

Dr Padhee also added that the department remains committed to working closely with exporters and other stakeholders to unlock the full potential of Odisha’s agricultural sector and make it a significant contributor to the state’s economy.

The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including Director Agriculture Shri Premchandra Choudhary, Director Horticulture Shri Nikhil Pawan Kalyan, and representatives from MSME department, Commerce and Transport Department, APEDA, AAICLAS  and the Technical support Unit under PSFPO project.
