Odisha Masters 2024 (BWF Super 100 International Badminton Tournament inaugurated

Cuttack:10/12/24: The Odisha Masters 2024 (BWF Super 100 International Badminton Tournament) was inaugurated today at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack. Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, who graced the event as the chief guest, encouraged the participants to showcase their best performances in this prestigious competition.

This international tournament, being held for the third time in Cuttack, will run until December 15. The event is jointly organized by the Badminton Association of India and the Odisha State Badminton Association.

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of several distinguished guests, including Cuttack Barabati MLA Sofia Firdous, Principal Secretary of the Sports Department Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, CEO of the Hockey Promotion Council of Odisha Deepankar Mohapatra, Cuttack Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, and Cuttack DCP Jagmohan Meena

Around 300 players from 29 countries, including India, Japan, Indonesia, China, and Denmark, are participating in this event. The tournament boasts a prize pool of $100,000, further cementing its status as a key fixture in the international badminton calendar.
