DC -Cum ACS Smt Anu Garg reviews expenditure of Department of Water Resources.

Bhubaneswar 16/11/2024The Development Commissioner-cum Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Water Resources reviewed the expenditure position of the Department in the Rajib Bhawan today on 16.11.2024.
The meeting, held in hybrid mode, was attended by the senior officers of the Department; Engineers-in-Chief; Chief Engineers, and Chief Construction Engineers. The officers, operating out of Bhubaneswar, joined online.

DC -cum ACS stressed the need for efficient financial management, expeditious execution of projects, and effective utilization of the allocated budget. She reiterated the need for adhering to the Cash Management System to ensure that funds are disbursed and utilized efficiently without delay.

She also asked the officers to closely monitor the budget spending; obliterate bottlenecks and expedite the release of funds.  They were urged to ensure that, 60% of expenditure is made up to the end of the third quarter of the Financial Year 2024-25 as stipulated in the guidelines of the Department of Finance.
