Ananta Mohapatra, Srinivas Mohapatra and Jayiram Samal will receive the Mohan Sundar Dev Goswami Award for 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively

Bhubaneswar:14/11/24: Eminent writer, director, and theatre personality Ananta Mohapatra will receive the prestigious Mohan Sundar Dev Goswami Award for his lifetime contribution to the Odia film industry.

Mohapatra will receive the honour for the year 2020, said Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj while announcing the State Film Awards in 33 categories for the year 2020,2021.2022 at Bhanjakala Mandap in Bhubaneswar.

The Minister announced that cinematographer Srinivas Mohapatra and stand-up comedian Jayiram Samal will receive the Mohan Sundar Dev Goswami Award for 2021 and 2022 respectively.

Saheed Raghu Sardar, Pratiksha & Dalchini and Daman have been adjudged best films for the years 2020, 2021, and 2022 respectively. Debashis Patra & Amlan Das, Ankit Kumar and Dipanwit Das Mohapatra, and Babushan Mohanty will get Best Actor award for 2020, 2021, and 2022 respectively.

Kabya Kiran (Sahid Raghu Sardar), Suryamayee Mohapatra (Dalchin), and Loapamudra Mishra (Boura Hatabaxa) have been named as best actresses for 2020,2021,2022 respectively.

Rakesh Samal has been adjudged best director for Romeo Raja film for the year 2020 while Suresh Patnaik will receive the same award for the film Trushna for the year 2021.  For the year 2022, Sudhansu Mohan Sahoo has been named as the best director for Mayabi.

The State government has announced Rs 5 lakh cash along with a trophy and citation for the Mohan Sundar Dev Goswami Award. Similarly, Rs 2 lakh has been fixed for the best film. The best director, Best actor, and Best actress will get Rs 1 lakh cash prize each with a trophy, certificate, and citation.
