Chairman of Israel-based Insectika Company called on Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo

Bhubaneswar6/11/24: Chairman of Israel-based Insectika Company, Benjamin Rubin called on Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo on Wednesday at the Lok Seva Bhavan Conference Hall.

According to an official statement, Rubin presented an overview of his company’s work during the meeting. Principal Secretary of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Principal Secretary of Fisheries & Animal Resources Department Suresh Vashishth, Director of Agriculture Prem Chandra Chaudhary, and other representatives from Insectika were also in attendance. With growing interest in organic farming, the Black Soldier Fly has gained significance for its ability to decompose waste.

Insectika specializes in producing organic fish and poultry feed, as well as biofertilizers, from the larvae of the Black Soldier Fly. Recognizing Odisha’s focus on organic farming, Rubin proposed offering Insectika’s biofertilizers for sale in the state. Minister Singh Deo noted that steps would be taken to evaluate Insectika’s products following a detailed assessment of the company’s operations and verification of necessary licenses.
