State-level Painting Workshop on Tribal Leader Birsa Munda concluded

Bhubaneswar:6/11/24:To celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, a three-painting workshop organized by the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Research and Training Institute (SCSTRTI) has been concluded. Shri Bishnupada Sethi IAS, Principal Secretary, STSC Development, M&BCW Department attended and felicitated the artists. In addition, Shri Indramani Tripathy IAS, Director, SCSTRTI, Shri Subrat Mallick, Principal, B.K College of Arts and Crafts were also present and congratulated the artists.

On this valedictory ceremony, Shri Sethi expressed his happiness and expressed his gratitude for this effort to remember the lost revolutionaries once again. On this occasion, he said, the Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, which was started on the occasion of Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary under the efforts of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji, will now be celebrated in all state’s capitals, headquarters and blocks. This will be a true tribute to that great soul. He also said that Birsa Munda was the worshiper of Truth and his revolution was the vision of ‘Truth’s Triumph’. As a result of organizing this state-level workshop, the process of honouring Birsa Munda has been started by the state government.

The state-level painting workshop started on 4th November associated with B.K College of Arts and Crafts has been successfully completed. The workshop was organized in the premises of Kalinga Art Gallery in Odisha State Museum. In the valedictory evening, Director Shri Tripathi delivered the welcome speech and highlighted the success of the workshop 30 artists of Odisha participated in the workshop.
