OPSC announced the tentative date for the civil services preliminary examination for 2023

Bhubaneswar:6/11/24: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Wednesday announced the tentative date for the civil services preliminary examination for 2023. It is likely to be held on December 15.

“The Commission has decided to conduct the Odisha Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination-2023, under Advt. No. 20 of 2023-24 tentatively on 15.12.2024 (Sunday). Detailed program on the said examination shall be notified later,” read the notification. The candidates have been to visit its website (www.opsc.gov.in.) for further updates.

On October 23, the OPCS postponed the examination, scheduled for October 27, due to the Cyclone Dana, which struck Odisha coast in the early hours of October 25. Admit cards for the exam were released on its official website, earlier that week. The combined competitive recruitment examinations for 399 posts – Odisha Administrative Service (OAS), Odisha Finance Service (OFS), Odisha Police Service (OPS), and Odisha Revenue Service (ORS)- will be held in two successive stages. Candidates will answer objective-type questions in the preliminary exam. Those successful will appear for the written Main examination. Based on their scores in the Main examination, candidates will be invited for a personal interview.
