Eligible beneficiaries who are deprived of their Subhadra assistance will receive phone calls from government officials

Bhubaneswar:12 OCT 2024: Deputy CM Pravati Parida today said that the eligible beneficiaries who are deprived of their Subhadra assistance will receive phone calls from government officials who will explain the reason of delay.

The government officials will also help them solve the issues, Parida said. Moreover, the Anganwadi workers will reach out to the deprived beneficiaries and verify their applications.

The Deputy Chief Minister has assured that the first installment will continue until the last beneficiary gets her assistance.

“We will ensure the payment to every eligible woman. The DBT will continue until the last beneficiary receives her money. The date for the release of the third phase money will be announced soon. Women who have not yet received their money will get in the third phase,” she said.

“Around 1 crore 60 thousand applicants have registered themselves under the scheme. Some women missed out on the benefits due to registration issues or some other reasons. To address this, we’ll be contacting them directly to understand their problems. A thorough verification process will be conducted at the block level, and Anganwadi workers have been asked to conduct door-to-door surveys to identify the beneficiaries who haven’t received their due funds,” she informed.

The government credited Rs 5,000 in the second phase of the first instalment of Subhadra Scheme directly into beneficiaries’ accounts on October 9 as Durga Puja bonanza. However, many women are still awaiting their first instalment. Beneficiaries who haven’t received their money are expressing distress over the delay.
