BJD Youth and Student Wings Stage Protest in Front of Raj Bhavan demanding action against Governor Raghubar Das’s son

Bhubaneswar:18/7/24: The youth and student wings of Biju Janata Dal on Thursday staged a protest in front of Raj Bhavan demanding action against Governor Raghubar Das’s son Lalit Kumar and his associates in connection with the assault of Assistant Section Officer Baikuntha Pradhan in Puri.

Even though 11 days have passed since the incident, why has no action been taken against the culprits, questioned the BJD.

The state government is maintaining silence on this sensitive issue. The attack on an Odia employee by a non-Odia and denying justice to the victim is a threat to Odia Asmita, the BJD said.

During the Naveen Patnaik government, strong action was taken against the culprits in the incident like this. But this government has remained silence, the BJD said.

If justice is not given to Baikuntha Pradhan and the son of the Governor is not arrested, then the protest will be intensified, the BJD said.
