Bhubaneswar:6/7/24: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and others paid floral tributes to Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das on his 96th death anniversary at Assembly premises in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

‘Gopabandhu Das is a great luminary and a friend of the destitute. His death anniversary was observed today on the Assembly premises in the presence of Speaker Surama Padhy, Deputy CM KV Singh Deo, MLAs, and members of Utkal Sammilani. His contribution to society and his work especially during natural calamities like floods, cyclones, and drought is always memorable forever,” Majhi said on the occasion.

The CM also planted a sapling on the Assembly premises as a part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign in the presence of deputy CM and Speaker.
