BJD President Naveen Patnaik strongly countered Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bhubaneswar:115/24: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik on Saturday strongly countered Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a hard-hitting message, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, ‘What I remember is that the people of Odisha have known this well for the last 24 years. But Hon’ble Prime Minister how much do you remember about Odisha?”

“Even though Odia is a classical language, you forgot about Odia language. You have allotted Rs 1000 crores to Sanskrit, but zero to Odia”, the CM told Modi.

The Chief Minister further said the Prime Minister has forgotten about Odissi music too.

Despite proposals for classical Odissi music recognition by the CM, the Prime Minister rejected them twice.

CM Naveen also strongly criticized the Prime Minister for forgetting great son of Odisha Biju Patnaik for the Bharat Ratna.

“There are so many brave sons in Odisha, a few of whom you spoke about today … Don’t any of them deserve the Bharat Ratna? You have given away the Bharat Ratna to so many people, but you again forgot about the great son of Odisha, Mr. Biju Patnaik”, Naveen said.

The Prime Minister has also forgotten to double the MSP for the farmers of Odisha, Naveen said.

The Odisha CM has also come down heavily on the Prime Minister for not enhancing the coal royalty in the last 10 years.

“You should have kept the people of Odisha in mind and built the coastal highway, and you also you have forgotten. Odisha’s natural wealth is coal. You take coal from Odisha, but you have forgotten to increase the royalty in the last 10 years”, Naveen said.

Remembering Odisha only at election time will be of no use, the BJD supremo said in his message to Modi.

“Do you remember the promises you made in 2014 and 2019? People of Odisha remember your promise to reduce prices to, create 2 crore jobs, reduce LPG, Petrol, and diesel prices, provide mobile connectivity to all, and reduce and waive GST. The people of Odisha have not forgotten any of these”, Naveen further stated.

Nothing will happen on June 10th. The BJP cannot win the hearts of the people of Odisha for the next 10 years at least. With the blessings from Lord Jagannath and the love of the people of Odisha, the Biju Janata Dal will form the government in Odisha for the sixth time, Naveen asserted.
