Crucial meeting was held to discuss the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces during General Election2024

Bhubaneswar:18/3/24: A crucial meeting was held to discuss the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces and State Armed Police Forces for the ensuing General and Assembly elections in Odisha.

The meeting was convened by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena at Lok Seva Bhawan along with State Chief Electoral Officer Nikunja Bihari Dhal regarding the deployment of security forces to ensure smooth, peaceful, and secure upcoming elections.

Additional Chief Secretary of State Home Department Additional Chief Secretary Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, DGP Arun Kumar Sarangi, Addl. Chief Electoral Officer N. Thirumala Naik and other senior officials were present at the meeting.

As the elections will be held in Odisha at various phases, a detailed discussion was held in the meeting regarding the deployment of forces as per the needs of all the districts.
