Bhubaneswar:29/2/2 4:Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik dedicated, drinking water facilities for the city dwellers, drinking from taps, roads, sanitation, and various civic services have been provided to the residents along with land rights, and Biju Adamas Colony.
A city is a mirror of a state’s development. The Chief Minister said on the occasion that the various projects launched will bring transformation in the living standards of the people in the urban areas.
Land rights certificates have been issued to 21,427 slum-dwelling families in four cities namely Cuttack, Sambalpur, Brahmapur, and Rourkela, giving priority to the protection of people’s shelter. In addition, the Chief Minister has established 626 Biju Model Colonies in 26 cities of the state. 2 lakh families have benefited from this. In addition, while 26 cities have been made slum-free, all basic facilities are available here like others.
The Drink From Tap program is a model for urban development across the country. 24-hour drink-from-tap facility has started in Brahmapur city today. In addition, 8 cities in the state have been connected with drink-from-tap facilities. Drinking water projects have been started in many cities including Jharsuguda, Brijrajnagar, and Belpahad. This will benefit 2.65 lakh residents. On this occasion, the Chief Minister of the state laid the foundation stone for 27 water supply projects worth ₹1,164 crore in 24 cities.
The Chief Minister dedicated the Integrated Sanitation Development Project for Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. For this, ₹ 4 thousand crore has been spent with the help of JICA. In addition, 3,699 new paved roads and 6,961 modified projects have been launched in various cities under the Improvement and Liberation Plan. The Chief Minister mentioned that this will transform the sanitary system of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and will further brighten the city’s identity
