Naveen Patnaik launched the LAccMI Bus Service in six more districts

Bhubaneswar: 16/2/24:Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Friday launched the LAccMI Bus Service in Khurda, Puri, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Nayagarh districts through video conferencing.

With this, 198 buses will ply in 1,198 panchayats of 6 districts which would benefit more than 75 lakh people.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that LAccMI Buses will play an important role in strengthening the economy of the village.

According to reports, 22 buses will run in 154 panchayats of Khurda benefitting 15.55 lakh people, 44 buses will run in 268 panchayats of Puri benefitting 14.60 lakh people, 37 buses will run in 196 panchayats of Kendrapara benefitting 11.37 lakh people, 25 buses will run in 158 panchayats of Bhadrak benefitting 10.80 lakh people, 39 buses will run in 233 panchayats of Jajpur benefitting 13.70 lakh people and 31 buses will run in 189 panchayats of Nayagarh benefitting 9.34 lakh people. In this scheme, affordable bus service from Panchayat to Block has been facilitated by the state government. More than 1000 buses will run across the state. In this program launched under the 5T initiative, Mission Shakti mothers have been given the responsibility of managing the buses.
