Odisha Governor Unfurls National Flag On 75th Republic Day

Bhubaneswar: 26/1/24:Odisha Governor Raghubar Das unfurled the National Flag at Mahatma Gandhi Marg here in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the state-level parade on the occasion of 75th Republic Day celebrations. The Governor also took a salute from the parade led by IPS officer AB Shilpa.

A total of 64 contingents, including the ITBP, CRPF, BSF, Fire, ODRAF, Odisha Home Guard, RPF, Sainik School Police Band, participated. Jharkhand Police also joined the Republic Day parade in Bhubaneswar as a guest contingent. The parade also saw performances by four cultural groups, a skating team from Odisha Skating Academy and Dare Devils.

Tableau of 12 key departments, including agriculture, health, education, Panchayati raj and drinking water, works department, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department, Tourism, OSACS, OMC, and fire, rolled down Mahatma Gandhi Marg, highlighting various initiatives of the Odisha government. A three-tier security arrangement was put in place at the parade ground.

The tricolor was also unfurled at all district headquarters, offices, and educational and business establishments to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India on January 26, 1950.
