Adani Dhamra port organizes 4th Inter GP Volleyball Tournament:Chandabali Volleyball Association won the tournament cup

Dhamra:29/12/23: Adani Foundation, the CSR arm of Adani Dhamra Port has been organizing different sports initiatives in its port periphery villages in order to promote the sportsman spirit of local youth.

Taking the initiative forward, the foundation has organized the “4th Inter-Gram Panchayat Volleyball Tournament” in its Rail Corridor at Samantaraipur High School playground of Jamujodi Gram Panchayat today on 26th December 2023.

8 teams from 08 periphery Gram Panchayats (Chandbali, Samantaraypur, Tihidi, Paliabindha, Fatehpur, Guanmal, Ghanteswar, and Achak) of Adani Dhamra Port Rail Corridor have participated in this tournament. The tournament was inaugurated by Sri Prashant Kumar Biswal – Sarpanch Jamujhadi in presence of Shri Ajay Kumar Rout – Representative Panchayat Samiti Member, Jamujhadi, Ex-Sarpanch, Jamujhadi GP, Shri Sudarshan Biswal, Social Worker Shri Basant Kumar Nayak, Opinion Makers Sri Santha Chandra Biswal,  Retd. Physical Education Teacher, Samantaray Government High School Shri Umakanta Tripathy, Retired Physical Education Teacher of CRS High School Shri Girija Raman Jena, Teachers of all prominent High Schools of above 8 GPs and Adani Foundation CSR Team.

In the final, Chandabali Volleyball Association Chandbali, won the tournament cup by defeating the Champion of 3rd Tournament Syama Club, Tihidi team by 2/1 set. The tournament was coordinated by the referee Shri Udayabhanu Sundarray, Shri Priya Ranjan Sahu, and Shri Suresh Dhada.

Mr. Manoj Kumar Muduli of Syama Club, Tihidi was awarded as the player of the tournament and Mr. Santosh Sahu of Chandbali was awarded as the best smasher consecutively for the 3rd time after 2021 in this tournament.

The match was completed in the august presence and support of all delegates present in the inaugural function, who felicitated the Winning Team, Runners Teams, Best Smasher and Man of the Tournament with Trophy and Cash Prize.
