Bhuban eswar:21/11/23:Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated 3 affordable housing projects for the slums in Bhubaneswar and handed over the keys of new houses to the beneficiaries. 1722 beneficiaries got houses through this, Chandrasekharpur Budhvihar project built on 12 acres of land under the urban area ‘Home for all’ program has 5 floors. In this, 820 houses are being completed and handed over to the beneficiaries. The goal is to build a total of 2600 houses for economically underprivileged people. Along with this, 342 houses have been constructed in the affordable housing project in Subudhipur and distributed to the beneficiaries. All of these projects feature 5 floors.

Similarly, 1300 houses are being constructed under the slum redevelopment scheme at Satyanagar Shantipali. This is the first project aimed at transforming the slum areas under Bhubaneswar Town Center District (BTCD). 560 houses have been built in this and distributed to beneficiaries.

Drinking water supply, drainage system, sewerage system, street lighting, shop house along with the library, reading room, dispensary, etc. have been provided for these projects. On this occasion, the Chief Minister has said that the slum people have a significant contribution to the development of the city. It’s a pleasure for poor people to get new and good homes
