Odisha Governor-designate Raghubar Das was accorded a warm welcome by Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar:30/10/23: Odisha Governor-designate Raghubar Das was accorded a warm welcome by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on his arrival at the Raj Bhawan here today.

State Assembly Speaker Pramila Mallick, Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, Director General of Police Sunil Bansal, and other senior officers also welcomed the Governor-designate at the Raj Bhawan here.

Earlier in the day Governor-designate Das arrived in Puri early in the morning by train from Jamshedpur and proceeded to the Raj Bhavan at Puri, which was known as the Government House during British rule. Later, he visited Shree Jagannath Temple to offer prayers and seek the blessings of the sibling deities at the 12th-century shrine. Das will be sworn-in as the new Governor of Odisha at a swearing-in ceremony scheduled to be held at the Raj Bhavan here at 11.45 am on Tuesday. However, prior to the swearing-in ceremony, Das is scheduled to offer prayers at the Lingaraj Temple here.
