Government of Odisha decided to take extensive precautionary measures to combat the disaster related to lightning

Bhubaneswar:22/10/23:It has been decided to take extensive precautionary measures the state government to combat the disaster related to lightning. In the 36th Management Committee meeting of OSDMA under the chairmanship of Chief Administration Secretary Shri Pradeep Jena, emphasis has been given to the management of disasters like floods, cyclones and other natural disasters like lightning and lightning.

In the first phase, training will be given to the public regarding alertness in 10 districts like Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Balasore, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Nabarangpur, Jajpur, Bolangir, Koraput, etc. and next time, a decision has been taken in the meeting that this program will be organised in all other districts.

All schools will have lightning prevention system (lightning arrest). Teachers and students will be aware of the students during the time of lightning. For this reason, mock drill will be done by fire department along with fire alarm system.

Similarly, the Chief Secretary has emphasized raising awareness in the direction of how earthquakes, drownings, snake bites and sudden disasters can be dealt with immediately and quickly.
