Odisha Chief Administrative Secretary gave importance to making Bagpatia Rehabilitation Colony an ideal settlement

Bhubaneswar:12/10/23:571 families of Satbhaya village under Rajnagar block of Kendrapada district, Rajnagar block, Kendrapada district affected by climate change, ocean gambling, and storm, have been relocated to a rehabilitation colony at Bagpatia. All efforts are being continued by the state government for the development of Bagpatia rehabilitation project. In this context, a proposal was presented by NABARD regarding possible cooperation.

In Bagpatia Thaithan Colony on behalf of the state government, Biju Pakka Ghar Yojana, 571 houses including Anganwadi Center, Primary School, High School, Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra, One Post Office, 63K. V. 4 transformers with this capacity have been installed. Arrangements are being made for improving the electricity line and providing assistance to the resident families in cattle rearing, goat rearing, fish farming, etc.

Distribution of plots and agricultural lands to the displaced families, better education facilities for children, better roads and communication, other basic infrastructure requirements were presented today by NABARD.

By making Bagpatia Rehabilitation Colony an ideal settlement it will set an example at national and international levels, the Chief Administrative Secretary gave importance in this regard and advised the NABARD authority to prepare a detailed DPR.
