Centre has provided much more financial support for development of Odisha :Anurag Thakur

Bhubaneswar:34/10/23:: Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting and Youth Affairs & Sports Anurag Thakur, who is on a day-long visit to Odisha, on Tuesday said the Narendra Modi government at the Centre has provided much more financial support for development of Odisha during the last nine years compared to the previous 10-year UPA government.

Addressing a press meet at the BJP’s State headquarters, Minister Thakur said,  “Odisha has received 11 times more funds during last 9 years of Modi government as compared to the tenure of UPA. The State benefited substantially after the auction regime and GST was introduced under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. However, these funds need to be implemented properly for the all-round development of the State.”

“‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikash’ is the mantra of the Modi government. The Prime Minister has always given a special focus to the eastern region, especially Odisha. Until the eastern region does not thrive, the nation will not develop entirely,” he said.

Thakur also mentioned that PM Modi chose a wall depicting the iconic Konark Sun Temple wheel as the backdrop of the podium to receive global leaders at the G20 meet in Delhi. “It shows his love for India’s culture and tradition, especially for Odisha and Lord Jagannath,” the Minister said.
