Odisha  Chief Minister launched a state-wide cyber safety campaign

Bhubaneswar:30/9/23: Odisha  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday launched a state-wide cyber safety campaign by flagging off 34 awareness vans from the Kalinga Stadium.Under this campaign, 34 Cyber Safety Awareness Raths will travel across the state from today to various schools, colleges, and panchayats to spread awareness about cyber safety. From September 30 to October 15, various programs like quiz competitions, and mini marathons will be organized across the state. By emphasizing bringing awareness in this regard at all levels of the state, the Chief Minister has urged everyone to be alert and safe

In the last few years, the rate of cybercrime has increased alarmingly across the country and state and awareness and caution are key measures to prevent this. Therefore, this campaign has been started to create awareness of Cyber Safety at all levels across the state. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has advised the citizens to stay alert and safe

.On this occasion, Minister Tusarkanti Behera, Minister Ashok Panda, Bhubaneswar MLAs Anant Narayan Jena & Sushant Raut, BMC Mayor Sulochana Das, Chief Secretary P.K. Jena, DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal and other senior officials were present. In this campaign, the district administrations will welcome the Cyber Safety Awareness Raths and awareness programmes will be conducted in at least two educational institutions every day. Apart from this, awareness programmes will be organised at various public places in the blocks and police station areas. Also, quiz competitions will be conducted among students in schools and colleges.

A Mini Marathon will be organised in different cities on the morning of October 8 while an evening walk program will be organised on 14th October to sensitise senior citizens. The concluding ceremony will be held on the 15th of October in the presence of Padma awardees and freedom fighters along with district administration officials. Panchayat representatives, Mission Shakti members, School and Mass Education Department, Higher Education Department, Panchayati Raj, and Information and Public Relations Department officers and staff will be present to extend support to the programme.
