Bhubaneswar: Sept 1. A solo exhibition of artist Dr. Jyotsna Mihir, a resident of remote Haryana, has been unveiled in the premises of ‘Nishith Nilaye’ at Patrapada. Thirty oil paintings and acrylic paintings by Dr. Jyotsna Mihir were displayed in this oil painting exhibition titled ‘Ganesha in Graphics’. Senior Administrative Officer Gadhar Patra has graced the occasion as a chief guest on the occasion of the launch of this four-day exhibition.
‘Ganesha in Graphics’ is the fourth exhibition of Dr. Jyotsna Mihir in Bhubaneswar. Earlier, Dr. Jyotsna organized various exhibitions at Jaydev Bhawan. Outside Odisha, various cities in Haryana and New Delhi have organized more than two dozen solo exhibitions. Dr. Jyotsna Mihir’s oil paintings of Ganesha, Jagannath and Shiva are particularly popular.
A seminar will be organized among the group of local artists on the occasion of this exhibition, said Dr. Mihir Ranjan Patra, coordinator of the Trust. According to the information received, a poetry conference shall be organized along with this four-day exhibition. In this exhibition launch ceremony, Haryana’s Guru Jambswar University of Science and Technology, Head of Mass Communication Department, Dr. Mihir Ranjan Patra, young cartoonist Nishith Shubhankar, National award-winning photographer Nimisha Suryanshi, retired officer Sitaram Martha were present.
