Khordha:22/8/23: As directed by CM Naveen Patnaik, Secy to CM (5T) V K Pandian visited Khordha district to review progress of developmental works & redressal of public grievances. 5T Secy reviewed progress of ongoing Mega Piped Water Supply Projects at a cost of ₹922 Cr in Begunia, Bolagarh, Tangi, Khordha, Banapur & Chilika blocks. The projects will be operationalised from Jan 2024. He directed officials to ensure quality of work & timely completion.
5T Secy reviewed progress of integrated development plan of Ugratara Shakti Pitha at a cost of ₹19 Cr at Tangi & development of Maa Bhagabati temple at a cost of ₹19 Cr in Banapur. He reviewed progress of other important projects: construction of fish landing centre at a cost of ₹35 Cr at Kalupadaghat in Tangi & Sorana in Chilika, construction of new CHC at a cost of ₹7 Cr in Banapur, construction of Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium at a cost of ₹12 Cr at Banapur & Balugaon. These projects would be completed in phases.
During the visit, Shri Pandian reviewed the progress of water supply projects at a cost of ₹16 Cr to Balugaon NAC & Banapur NAC which would commence soon. He informed people about the sanction of construction of Nirakarpur Fly-Over Bridge at a cost of ₹58 Cr in Tangi block & construction of new 132/33 KV Grid Substation at a cost of ₹52 Cr at Bolagarh which would commence soon. This would mitigate the low voltage issue in Bolagarh & Begunia blocks.
While interacting with Mission Shakti Odisha at Khordha, Shri Pandian assured them all support from Govt. He visited Mission Shakti Café at Khordha & appreciated their initiative. 5T Secy emphasised that CM has high priority to women empowerment. He directed district admin to increase awareness about interest-free loans & organise loan melas at panchayat level.
5T Secy participated in public grievance meetings at Begunia, Khordha & Banapur and interacted with the public regarding their grievances. He emphasised that CM gives top priority towards citizen grievances & assured early resolution of the petitions submitted. In Khordha, Secy discussed with the district admin regarding the land patta settlement issues highlighted by some people and directed to ensure early resolution.
