Odisha Train Accident: Bahanaga High School completely renovated as students expressed reluctance to attend classes

Bahanaga(Balasore):9/6/23:Days after the tragic triple train accident in Odisha, the completely renovated of Bahanaga High School building in Balasore district begins in presence of school managing committee as students expressed reluctance to attend classes in the school after bodies of train accident victims were kept.

The Bahanaga High School of Balasore district as well as the primary and elementary school houses in the school premises will be completely renovated in the 2-T conversion program. Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has directed to rebuild the school premises and make it an ideal school.
The public and teachers of the local area played a remarkable role in rescue and service work in the aftermath of the horrific train accident at Bahanaga railway station. So the Chief Minister has directed this major educational institution in the area to include 5-T programme in order to encourage their participation in such a noble cause.
In this context, on the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik, Chief Secretary Shri Pradeep Jena, Chief Minister’s 5-T Secretary Shri V. K. Pandian, School Mass Education Secretary S. Collector of Balasore, members of school management committee, panchayat representative, teachers, students and former students had a discussion through the Aswasti video conference.
5 students of the school, Priyanka Behera of 8th standard and Suman Sahu of 6th standard, about the development of the school 5-T secretary Shri V. K. Exchanged views with Pandian and suggested the development of the school. Keeping in mind the opinions and needs of the children, the development of the school was decided for the development of facilities like concrete roof, classroom, playground, playground etc. In this Sankranta, the Collector was instructed to prepare a detailed plan and submit a report within 15 days
