QUEST Alliance launched the 21st century Educator Award

Bhubaneswar:7/4/23:In recognizing the teachers’ efforts toward supporting students’ development. QUEST Alliance, a not for profit organization launched the 21st century Educator Award and is seeking applications from teachers to submit with their best practices. This is an effort to celebrate and recognize the outstanding educators of Odisha who are building 21st Century Skills among learners of govt schools.  Teachers from all over the state of Odisha can apply by submitting some basic details about the innovation or best practices they have been doing in their schools which is supporting the development of 21st century skills. The Themes for the award are best practices in the area of student-led process; parent or community engagement for active support towards continuation of education for girl children; fostering critical thinking, collaboration and STEM mindset; Head teacher leadership; introduction of coding and problem solving activities in schools.

The application starts 5th April and ends on 20th April. The nomination will be reviewed by an independent jury and finally 30 teachers will be selected for the final awards at state level. The selected educators for the 21st Century Educators Award will be awarded on the 3rd of June 2023, at a state level recognition event to be organized by QUEST Alliance.in collaboration with the education department.

The teachers selected for final awards will not only get the opportunity to receive the award through a state level platform but shall also be featured in various publication, media coverages. Some best practices might also get recorded as short films for being used as a learning resource for other teachers in the state and outside. The schools will also win an exciting Tinkering Kit, helping them to set up a tinkering corner in the schools for encouraging students to explore, learn and build.

QUEST Alliance is a civil society organization that has been working in all 30 districts of Odisha in collaboration with Mo School Abhiyaan through an MoU signed to train 20,000 teachers with the 21st Century Educator Course and support learners to build 21st century skills and skills to code. The efforts of QUEST Alliance in the state are being supported by Amazon Future Engineer Programme.
