Nikunja Bihari Dhal has been appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha

Bhubaneswar:24 /3/23: IAS officer Nikunja Bihari Dhal has been appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha. Dhal, a 1993-batch Odisha-cadre IAS officer was the Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department and Special Relief Commissioner (SRC).

While, 1991-batch IAS officer and Revenue and Disaster Management Department Secretary Satyabrata Sahu has been appointed as the Special Relief Commissioner, I&PR Department Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh has been given the additional charge of Energy Department.

Dhal will take over as the CEO from Sushil Kumar Lohani who has been posted as the Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj Department. Lohani will also hold additional charge of Principal Secretary, Excise Department.

Similarly, Gyana Ranjan Das has been appointed as the Managing Director of Odisha State Disaster Management Authority.
