Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the much awaited Dharani Dhar Sports Complex

Keonjhar:13/2/23: In a momentous occasion for the people of Keonjhar, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated the much awaited Dharani Dhar Sports Complex adding a lot of pride for the sports aficionados of the mineral rich region.

The sports complex will play a significant role in developing the sports ecosystem particularly Football, Athletics and Archery in the district which has produced many national and international level players.

The new multi-sport complex features a natural turf football field, 400 M synthetic track with LED floodlights as well as a 1000 seating capacity gallery. Additionally, an archery arena has been developed for budding and talented archers to pursue the sport professionally, a statement issued by the CMO said.

The complex also has an indoor hall with six badminton courts and is complemented with 200-bedded fully furnished residential facilities for both boys and girls and staff.

The campus has been developed at a cost of over Rs 35 crores over nine acres land.

This is also well-equipped complex for day-to-day training activities. The facility has been complied to host regional level competitions.
