Bhubaneswar:26/4/25:The Odisha Legislative Assembly premises witnessed a grand celebration of the Jayanti of Parala Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Narayan Dev, a visionary leader and the architect of modern Odisha.

Born on April 26, 1892, in Paralakhemundi, he played a crucial role in unifying Odia-speaking regions and establishing Odisha as a separate state.

Dignitaries, including Speaker Surama Padhi, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, and other prominent leaders, paid floral tributes to his statue. Cultural programs and patriotic songs added to the solemnity of the occasion, with Sushree Rosalin Sahu coordinating the event.

Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Narayan Dev’s contributions to literature, education, and governance continue to inspire generations. His legacy as a benevolent ruler and a champion of Odia culture remains unparalleled.
