Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee held a meeting to strategize the communication and publicity activities for the WAVES-2025

Bhubaneswar: 26/4/25:The InterMedia Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) – Odisha Region, held a meeting today at the Akashvani Cuttack office to strategize the communication and publicity activities for the upcoming World Audio-Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, which will be hosted in Mumbai for the first time from May 1 to 4, 2025.

Chaired by Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra, Additional Director General, Press Information Bureau (PIB) and Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Bhubaneswar, the session underscored the pivotal role of IMPCC in crafting coordinated communication efforts to ensure the Summit’s widespread impact and success.

“This session has been called to discuss the monumental event of WAVES-2025, where we aim to align our ideas and enhance coordination for its grand success,” Shri Mishra stated. He emphasized the importance of giving wide publicity to the event to highlight India’s growing stature in the global media and entertainment landscape. “The Summit will bring together global professionals, producers, and creative entrepreneurs from the media, entertainment, film, and AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics) sectors,” he added.

Prof. Anand Pradhan, Regional Director, Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Dhenkanal, stressed the significance of the event in promoting India’s cultural vibrancy and creative excellence. “WAVES-2025 is an opportunity to showcase India’s rich cultural diversity to the world. Through quality content creation, India can position itself as a global ‘Soft Power,’” he remarked.

Dr. Jyoti Prakash Mohapatra, Head of Corporate Communications, Tata Power, called for innovative and strategic promotion of WAVES-2025 to engage a broader audience effectively.

Moharana, Sunita Mohapatra, News Editor Itishree Singh Rathore, PIB Deputy Director Manoj Kumar Jali, Media & Communication Officer Swadhin Shaktiprasad, Bhubaneswar Doordarshan Kendra’s Deputy Director and RNU head Abhishek Mishra, Programme Head Pradipta Kumar Behera, BSNL Additional General Manager Padmavati Baskey, IIT Bhubaneswar Public Relations Officer Dharitri Satpathy, Cuttack DFO Additional Director Jagdish Sahu, RIE Bhubaneswar Professor Dr. Laxmidhar Behera, SDIPRO, Cuttack Abhiram Das, Prof. Dr. Netaji Abhinandan of Ravenshaw University, KVIC Director Shri Subas Chhetri, Assistant Director Bichitrananda Panda were present in this meeting.
