Puri:24/4/25: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi marked Panchayati Raj Diwas with a series of groundbreaking announcements aimed at empowering grassroots communities across Odisha.
Addressing the state-level event in Talabania, Puri, the CM distributed ration cards to 6 lakh beneficiaries, ensuring enhanced food security for countless families.
The event also witnessed the launch of the Subhadra Scheme, benefitting over 2 lakh new beneficiaries with ₹200 crore in direct financial assistance. The CM emphasized that eligible individuals who had applied by March 31 would receive their aid in two installments.
In a push for clean energy, CM Majhi announced subsidies of up to Rs 1.38 lakh for the installation of 3-kilowatt solar panels under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, aiming to reduce carbon emissions and promote renewable energy.
Furthering the state’s commitment to sports and youth development, the foundation stones for 314 block-level stadiums were laid, representing an investment of Rs 4,124 crore. Enhancing governance, the CM introduced the e-Panchayat Sabha portal and Panchayat Monitoring System to promote transparency and accountability.
These measures highlight Odisha’s dedication to fostering inclusive and sustainable growth at the grassroots level.
