Odisha Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 14 industrial projects in Khurda

Khurda:3/4/25:Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 14 industrial projects in Khurda district. These projects, which have a cumulative investment of Rs 5,770 crore, are expected to generate 37,030 jobs across various sectors.

The inaugurated projects span industries such as food processing, textiles, apparel, technical textiles, mechanical and electrical goods, packaging, and refractory materials. With key locations at New Industrial Estate Haldiapada, Industrial Estate Mundamba, and Khurda Textile Park at Kelibeti, these developments reflect Odisha’s commitment to fostering economic growth and employment opportunities.

Global and Indian firms, including Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory Limited, Polimiroir India Private Limited, and IGFL Refractories, are taking part in these ventures. Moreover, three groundbreaking ceremonies were conducted during the event, setting the stage for additional growth.

“These projects are more than industrial units—they are growth engines for our state, employment generators for our youth, and milestones on our journey to a developed Odisha,” said Majhi. Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the government’s dedication to creating a globally competitive industrial ecosystem.

As Odisha moves forward, these initiatives are expected to pave the way for sustained progress and innovation, reinforcing its position as a leader in industrial resurgence.
