Boyanika- the apex Handloom organization has launched special discount drive

Bhubaneswar, 27th March 2025:Boyanika- the apex Handloom organization of the state has launched special discount drive today across all Boyanika outlets, including its stalls at the NH Expo at Exhibition Ground and the Toshali National Crafts Mela at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar. The event was inaugurated by Pradeep Bal Samanta, Hon’ble Minister, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts and Cooperation, Government of Odisha. On this occasion, Hon’ble Minister said, this initiative not only celebrates the exceptional skills of Odisha’s weavers but also supports their livelihoods and promotes the state’s rich cultural heritage on a global platform. This special initiative has been launched for the Odisha Divas celebrations, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience and own the rich handloom heritage of Odisha

.The discount offer (20%+10%+5%) will be available across all Boyanika outlets, including its stalls at the NH Expo at Exhibition Ground and the Toshali National Crafts Mela at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar. The event will run from 27 to 31 March 2025.

A key highlight of the event is the Night Bazaar at Boyanika Exclusive, Bayan Bhawan designed to promote the unparalleled artistry of Odisha’s Handloom sector. An additional 5% discount at Boyanika Exclusive will be available from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every night from March 27 to April 1, 2025 (till 7:00 AM). The Night Bazaar at Boyanika Exclusive enhances the shopping experience with instrumental classical music performances, live loom demonstrations, and food counters, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for visitors during extended night hours.

The inaugural event was graced by Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Prakash Chandra Meher, President, Boyanika, Pranati Chhotray, MD Boyanika & Director of Handicrafts, Vikramaditya Barik, Addl. Secretary to Govt., Sushama Barik, GM-cum-Secretary, Boyanika & other dignitaries.

The Government of Odisha remains steadfast in its commitment to preserve and promote the handloom sector, ensuring its continued growth and international recognition. Hon’ble Minister appealed to the public to participate in this unique celebration and to use this opportunity to own a piece of Handloom cloth.
