Odia star and former MP Anubhav Mohanty tied the nuptial knot with Jagrati Shukla

Bhubaneswar:11/3/25: Setting aside all speculations, Odia superstar and former MP Anubhav Mohanty tied the nuptial knot with journalist and author Jagrati Shukla, today.

The wedding was solemnised outside the State in the presence of both the family members and close relatives. Several photos of the bride and groom exchanging garlands surfaced on social media.

The couple is yet to divulge details on their marriage. They both made their relationship public after getting engaged on March 8. The engagement was also performed outside Odisha to maintain privacy.

Jagrati took to her social media handles and dropped photos from the intimate engagement ceremony. Her post read, “I said yes to my best friend @anubhavmohantyofficial. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the blessings from our families and the constant support of our friends. This bond of friendship has blossomed into something beautiful, and I can’t wait to write our love story together.”

Anubhav Mohanty, a prominent figure in Odia cinema and politics, has been embroiled in controversy surrounding his personal life. His marriage to actor Barsha Priyadarshini, which lasted from 2014 to 2023, ended in divorce, with rumours suggesting that his relationship with Jagrati was a contributing factor.

Interestingly, Jagrati has not only been linked to Anubhav personally but also professionally. She has co-authored his biography, “Blockbusters to Ballot Box,” which was released recently. The timing of their collaboration has raised eyebrows, given the circumstances of Anubhav’s divorce.
