Odisha H&UD Minister Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra Meets Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw

Newdelhi:5/3/25:Minister for Housing & Urban Development, Odisha, Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, met Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw at Rail Bhawan, New Delhi, today. The meeting focused on key railway-related matters concerning Odisha, particularly issues affecting Mayurbhanj district.

Dr. Mahapatra requested the restoration of the previous timings of the Bangriposi–Puri Superfast Express, citing its importance for passengers. In response, the Union Minister assured that the request would be duly examined.

Additionally, Dr. Mahapatra urged the early implementation of the Baripada Railway Bypass Project, highlighting its significance for the development and decongestion of Baripada town. Expressing gratitude, Dr. Mahapatra appreciated Shri Vaishnaw’s positive and proactive approach in addressing public concerns related to railway infrastructure and services in Odisha.
