Bhubaneswar:12/2/25:Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday launched the ‘Digital House’ under the National e-Vidhan Application in the Odisha Legislative Assembly in the presence of Speaker Surama Padhy.

In a noteworthy step towards digital transformation, the Odisha Assembly has adopted a paperless approach, allowing members to utilize tablets during House sessions. This initiative aims to enhance the assembly’s efficiency while also being environmentally sustainable.

The National Informatics Center (NIC) has rolled out the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project, which permits members to access documents, reports, and other materials in a digital format. This system is intended to decrease paper consumption and foster transparency within the legislative process.

According to reports, each of the 147 Assembly members has been provided with a tablet, enabling them to retrieve documents and information without the need for paper.

Notably, the budget session of the Odisha Assembly is set to begin on February 13, comprising 28 working days. The session will occur in two phases, with the first phase ending on February 21 and the second phase starting on March 7. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to present the comprehensive budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 on February 17. The session will kick off with the Governor’s address on February 13.
