Odisha government has taken various steps to protect the interest of farmers in the state

Bhubaneswar – 16.01.2025:The government has taken various steps to protect the interest of farmers in the state. All arrangements have been made to ensure that no eligible farmer faces any problem in the paddy procurement process. A Central Control Room is functioning at Odisha State Civil Supply Corporation to take prompt action in case of any irregularities during paddy procurement. The center has been set up to serve the interests of the farmers and give them maximum benefits. With this, farmers can immediately lodge their complaints through this center if there are any issues in the process of procurement. Nodal officers have been appointed in each mandi and are monitoring the paddy procurement process. Grievances can be lodged through Toll-free No. 1967.

It includes a maximum of about 90,000 calls related to tokens. Similarly, there are one lakh 12 thousand 11 outgoing calls from this center. This includes about 70,000 calls relating to feedback from farmers and 39 thousand calls related to the verification calls of sharecroppers. Above all nearly 6.5 lakh calls including incoming, outgoing, and IVRS calls have been made in this way.
