Odisha Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment Department is going to organize ‘KRUSHI ODISHA 2025’

Bhubaneswar: 02/01/2025:Odisha Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment Department is going to organize ‘KRUSHI ODISHA 2025’, a three-day event from 3rd to 5th January 2025 at Biju Patnaik Play Ground in Baramunda, Bhubaneswar.

The mega event will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and other dignitaries will be present at the event.

The theme of Krushi Odisha 2025 is, “A Step Towards Sustainable Food System” which has three sub-themes i.e. 1. Climate Smart Agriculture 2. Organic Farming and 3. Water Governance, whereas the first day will exclusively be devoted to Climate Resilient Food System & Climate Smart Horticulture, the second day to Soil
Health, Natural Farming, and its value chain & the third day is devoted to Pani Panchayat Pakhya Palan with Sustainable Water Governance.

A sustainable food system in Odisha aims to promote local economies, improve environmental health, and increase food security through several interconnected objectives.

This three-day program organized by the Government of Odisha will showcase and leverage the great potential of the State and enormous investment opportunities in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Processing, and Fisheries & Animal Husbandry Sectors.

There will be a footfall of around 10,000 farmers & farm women, SHGs, FPOs, NGOs, Pani Panchayat members, Agri-entrepreneurs, Exporters, students, research scholars, and manufacturers from different corners of the State.

There will be 13 Technical Sessions in coordination with different State govt departments, Central Govt, ICAR institutes, CGIAR institutes,non-Govt organizations, farmer–scientist interactions, seminars, a farmer facilitation center, an experience–learning center, a display of farm pieces of machinery, more than 200 stalls exhibiting various farm produce and advanced technology in Agriculture to see is believing.

To make Krushi Odisha 2025 more engaging, various quiz programs, debates, storytelling, poem recitation, skit competitions, a virtual experience zone, a Farmer Facilitation Centre, and an Experimental Learning Centre are being organized.

The Progressive farmers, Agri-Entrepreneurs, SHGs/FPOs from 30 districts of the State Agriculture and Allied Sector who have shown their excellence in successful farming modules will be felicitated in the event.
