Adani Foundation Observes National Farmers’ Day

Dhamra, 27.12.2024: Adani Foundation, the CSR arm of the Adani Group, celebrated National Farmers’ Day 2024 at the Adani Skill Development Centre with great enthusiasm and participation. The event was attended by over 170 farmers, alongside government officials from various departments such as Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), RRTTS, NABARD, District Agriculture Office, ORMAS, District Fishery Office, etc.

Debendra Thakar, Chief Executive Officer of Dhamra Port addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significant role played by Adani Foundation in promoting sustainable agriculture practices. He highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to supporting farmers through innovative techniques and community-driven programs aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability. During the event, government officials presented various schemes and initiatives aimed at empowering farmers, providing them with resources, and improving their livelihoods. Farmers actively participated, sharing their experiences and success stories, including adopting natural farming techniques, cultivating vegetables through Non-Pesticide Management practices, and enhancing milk production. The Adani Foundation event served as a platform to foster collaboration between farmers and government departments, encouraging the adoption of modern and sustainable farming methods.

By observing National Farmers’ Day, Adani Foundation reaffirmed its dedication to the agricultural community, focusing on initiatives that drive sustainable development and improve the lives of farmers in the region. The Foundation continues to play a pivotal role in empowering local farmers through Farmers Club and Farmer Producer Organization (FPO), reinforcing its mission to create long-term social impact in the agricultural landscape of Bhadrak.
