Union Minister Giriraj Singh stated Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar & former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik should be awarded Bharat Ratna

Begusarai :25/12/24: Union Minister Giriraj Singh stated on Wednesday that the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award, should be awarded to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Singh made this remark in Begusarai, his Lok Sabha constituency, praising Nitish Kumar, who is currently an ally of the BJP, and Naveen Patnaik, a former alliance partner ousted from power earlier this year.

“Bihar was known for its poor roads, schools, and buildings until Nitish Kumar came to power and took the state to new heights. Similarly, Naveen Patnaik served Odisha for many years. Leaders like them deserve the highest honour, like the Bharat Ratna,” he said.

On the occasion of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 100th birth anniversary, the BJP leader also remarked that the NDA government will be formed again in Bihar under Nitish Kumar’s leadership in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.

“No one should be confused. Lalu Prasad Yadav may try a million times, but the Bihar assembly elections will be held under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, and the NDA government will be formed again. Nitish Kumar has served as Chief Minister for many years. Today’s thirty-year-olds have never experienced Lalu ji’s jungle raj,” he stated.

Earlier, Nitish Kumar’s party, Janata Dal-United, had also clearly announced that the NDA alliance would contest the upcoming Bihar assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Notably, elections for the 243 assembly seats in Bihar are likely to take place at the end of 2025.
