Odia Filmmaker Akshay Parija’s Collaborate film with Australian Island Papua New Guinea ( PNG) to make “ Papa Buka”

Bhubaneswar:14/12/24: Renowned Film Producer Akshay Parija who has always given pathbreaking films in Odia, Bengali, Hindi, as well as Malayalam, released the news of his first International Collaboration film with the Australian Island Papua New Guinea ( PNG) to make “ Papa Buka”.Papa Buka marks the first-ever cinematic collaboration between Papua New Guinea and India. The film is helmed by award-winning Indian director Dr. Biju and produced by Noelene Taula Wunum (NAFA Productions, Papua New Guinea), Akshay Kumar Parija (Akshay Parija Productions), Pa Ranjith (Neelam Productions), and Indian actor-producer Prakash Bare (Silicon Media).

The stellar cast features Sine Boboro, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Prakash Bare, and John Sike, among others

The project is supported by the Papua New Guinea Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, the High Commission of India in Papua New Guinea, the National Cultural Commission of PNG, and the Department of Community Development and Religion (PNG). Principal photography for Papa Buka was completed in Papua New Guinea in August and September 2024. The film is currently in the final stages of post-production in India.

Akshay Kumar Parija himself a multiple National Award Winner and multi-dozen Odisha State Award winner revealed that he has been working on the film for the last two years. Very glad that the film is completed with full shoots at PnG and the entire post-production in India.Currently abroad, Parija shared that “ the film will have a significant future journey to various international festivals. Based on emotive subjects dating back to the Second World War and missing Indian Soldiers for the last 8 decades, it touches upon their fate.
