Adani Foundation Organizes World Soil Day

Dhamra, 13.12.2024: Adani Foundation, a CSR unit of Adani group Dhamra unit celebrated World Soil Day with a grand celebration at Kuamara village of Karanapali Grampanchayat. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 120 farmers and women SHG members representing nine core Gram panchayats. The program commenced with a vibrant Prabhat Pheri, where participants toured nearby villages carrying flags and raising awareness about soil health. The rally concluded at the Adani Skill Development Center (ASDC), Kuamara, where an insightful meeting was held.

Dr. Umasankar Nayak, Associate Director of Research at RRTTS, Ranital, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Nayak emphasized the critical role of soil care, fertility, and health management in achieving sustainable agricultural development. He underscored the importance of preserving healthy soils to ensure long-term productivity and environmental balance. The program highlighted Adani Foundation’s commitment to sustainable livelihoods and agricultural development in the region. Through such initiatives, the Foundation continues to empower local farmers and SHG members, promoting sustainable practices and community well-being.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants, farmers, Guests, delegates, and stakeholders, reaffirming the collective resolve to protect and nurture the soil, a fundamental resource for the future of agriculture.
