Directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari and based on stories written by Prakash Narayan Sant, ‘Lampan’ is the tale of a dreamy child with unbounded curiosity.

This year, five web series have been shortlisted for their artistic brilliance, storytelling finesse, technical excellence, and cultural impact. The Best OTT Web Series Award comes with a cash prize of Rs. 10,00,000, which will be shared between the creators and the OTT platform, along with individual certificates recognizing their contribution to the series’ success

Lampan, which premiered on Sony Liv, stood out in fierce competition among submissions from major OTT platforms. The series, set in rural India, poignantly explores the emotional and social struggles of a young boy navigating his identity within the complex dynamics of his community. Through its evocative portrayal of self-empowerment, community ties, and personal growth, Lampan has struck a deep chord with viewers and critics alike.
