CM Mohan Charan Majhi flagged off the ‘Run for Unity’ marathon to celebrate National Unity Day

Bhubaneswar:29/10/24: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi flagged off the ‘Run for Unity’ marathon to celebrate National Unity Day at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, Higher Education and Sports Minister Suryavansi Suraj, Health Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling, Panchayat Raj Minister Ravi Narayan Naik, Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, BJP state president Manmohan Samal and many other prominent figures participated in the event.

More than 2000 people from various schools and sports organisations of the state also participated in the marathon.

The birth anniversary of Sardar Patel is observed as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ on October 31. As this time Diwali falls October 31, the central government has decided to organise the ‘Run for Unity’ on the occasion of Dhanteras on Tuesday.
