Odisha government has removed Chairperson of the State Commission for Women

Bhubaneswar: 23/10/24:The Odisha government has removed Chairperson of the State Commission for Women Dr Minati Behera from the post.

Official sources said that apart from the Chairperson, all the members of the Commission have also been removed from their posts.

The move comes more than four months after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government was formed in the state.

As per sources, the Chairperson was appointed during the previous Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government. Other members of the Commission were also appointed during the previous regime.
