Odisha Cabinet approved the implementation of the “Samrudha Krushak Yojana”

Bhubaneswar: 23/10/24; The state cabinet meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. In this meeting, a farmer welfare scheme called ‘“Samrudha Krushak Yojana”’ will be implemented in the state for the benefit of the farmers, and along with this the food supply and camp welfare department has sanctioned the purchase of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal from the registered farmers. Two Deputy Chief Ministers Mr. Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Ms. Prabhati Parida and senior members of the Council of Ministers were present in this meeting.

According to an official press release, farmers registered to sell paddy through the Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare’s existing system will receive Rs 3,100 per quintal. This amount includes input assistance provided under the Samrudha Krushak Yojana, along with the prevailing minimum support price (MSP).

Additionally, paddy seed growers registered with the Odisha State Seed and Organic Products Certification Agency (OSSOPCA), who sell seeds through the Odisha State Seeds Corporation (OSSC) Ltd., will also be eligible to receive input assistance under the scheme.
