Odisha Govt held an Ambassadors’ Meet for upcoming ‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025’

New Delhi: 3/10/24: Odisha Govt held an Ambassadors’ Meet in NewDelhi, marking an important milestone leading up to the much-anticipated ‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025’. The meet showcased Odisha’s vibrant industrial ecosystem and highlighted new investment opportunities to a global audience.

Attending the event, CM Shri Mohan Charan Majhi warmly welcomed the ambassadors. CM emphasized Odisha’s rich history and strategic location, which are key factors in its transformation into a leading investment destination. CM also highlighted the state’s abundant natural resources and skilled workforce, inviting all attendees to the upcoming ‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025’, which will serve as a platform for collaboration and growth.
The event included an interaction session where ambassadors engaged in discussions about opportunities in Odisha and featured the release of a video about the MakeInOdisha2025 initiative, showcasing the state’s potential. The mega event is scheduled to be held on January 28 and 29, 2025, in Bhubaneswar.

The event, held at ITC Maurya located in the Diplomatic Enclave in Chanakyapuri, marked an important milestone in the lead-up to the much-anticipated Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025.

The meet showcased Odisha’s vibrant industrial ecosystem and highlighted new investment opportunities to a global audience.

The event was attended by Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Consul-Generals, Trade Commissioners, and senior diplomats from 34 countries, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a statement.

Notable nations included Indonesia, Norway, Singapore, China, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, the USA, Thailand, Vietnam, and the UK. In addition, nine foreign associations participated, reflecting the growing global interest in Odisha.

In his keynote address, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi warmly welcomed the ambassadors, and emphasised Odisha’s rich history and strategic location, which are key factors in its transformation into a leading investment destination.

The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s abundant natural resources and skilled workforce, inviting all attendees to the upcoming Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, which will serve as a platform for collaboration and growth.

In his concluding remarks, Industries and Skill Development & Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain reinforced Odisha’s vast potential for investment across various sectors and assured the ambassadors of the government’s commitment to creating a favorable business environment.

Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja welcomed everyone and emphasised that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Odisha is quickly becoming a global investment destination. He spoke about the state’s strong infrastructure, rich resources, skilled workforce, and progressive policies. He invited global partners to explore the many opportunities available in industries, technology, tourism, and innovation.

The event also featured the release of a video about the Make in Odisha 2025 initiative, which showcased the potential of the state. Principal Secretary of Industries Hemant Sharma made a presentation highlighting various sectors that are open for investment. Several notable speakers addressed the audience, including Ms. Jyoti Vij, the Director General of FICCI, who talked about the importance of collaboration.

A. Ajay Kumar, the Joint Secretary (States) at the Ministry of External Affairs, emphasized the central government’s support for Odisha’s development. Nivruti Rai, Managing Director of Invest India, discussed the investment trends in the region.

The Ambassadors’ Meet successfully set the stage for Odisha to position itself as a key player in attracting global investments. The state government looks forward to welcoming international partners to the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, scheduled for January 28-29, 2025, in Bhubaneswar. This event will explore even more opportunities for collaboration and growth, the CMO statement added.
