Ratna Bhandar (treasure trove) of the Shree Jagannath Temple will be opened on 14thJuly,2024

Bhubaneswar: 13/7/24:Putting to rest all speculation surrounding the opening of the Ratna Bhandar (treasure trove) of the Shree Jagannath Temple, Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Saturday announced that the process will commence tomorrow.

“A high-level committee proposed a standard operating procedure (SOP), which was reviewed by the Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee, has been accepted by the government today. The process of opening the Ratna Bhandar will begin tomorrow at an auspicious time decided by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA)” informed Law Minister Harichandan briefing reporters here today.

The Law Minister has stated that the work will proceed in phases.

“To ensure transparency in the inventory of ornaments, we are seeking assistance from the Reserve Bank of India. Their representatives will be present to cooperate with the managing committee team. The Chief Administrator of the SJTA has been tasked with overseeing the process smoothly,” he added.
